Are you concerned about people being forced out of the community because of rising costs, unaffordable development, or gentrification? Are you passionate about making Codman Square a great place to live for everyone?
So are we! With your help, we can make sure that Codman Square is an affordable place to live and prosper.
The Codman Square Anti-Displacement Initiative is coming up with solutions to keep renters, homeowners, and small businesses in our community. With city re-zoning efforts underway, we are creating a practical, and community-centered vision that makes new development work for us in Codman Square.
Join us this fall and winter for small group discussions, big assemblies, and writing a plan that will make Codman Square a place where we all can thrive.
Become an Ambassador
We are seeking 5-6 Anti-Displacement Ambassadors to engage Codman Square community members in anti-displacement planning efforts. Ambassadors will engage directly with local residents to understand their concerns and hopes for the neighborhood, educate them on existing and emerging anti-displacement resources, and identify new ideas to address this issue. Ambassadors will begin early December 2025 and continue through March 2026. Stipends provided! Click here for more information.
Join an Action Group
Do you want to join with other neighbors to talk about your concerns and hopes for the neighborhood? Do you want to learn about tools and resources that are available to prevent displacement and help come up with new ideas? You can join an action group!
Action Groups are small, facilitated groups for neighbors to learn, share, and dream together. Groups meet 2-3 times for a total of about 6 hours. Action Groups will begin in January 2026.
